General Information

The Organizing Committee of UROCON 2026, the 11th Annual Conference of the Nepal Association of Urological Surgeons (NAUS), invites abstract submissions from urologists, trainees, researchers, and allied professionals.

Submitted abstracts must represent original, completed work relevant to contemporary urology. Accepted abstracts may be selected for oral, e-poster, or video presentation, as determined by the Scientific Committee.

Abstracts are invited in, but not limited to, the following areas:

Endourology and Stone Disease
Uro-oncology
Andrology and Male Infertility
Female Urology and Urogynecology
Pediatric Urology
Reconstructive Urology
Renal Transplantation
Laparoscopic and Robotic Urology
Functional Urology
Urological Imaging and Diagnostics
Basic Science and Translational Research
Innovations and Technology in Urology
 

Abstract Formatting and Structure

Word Limit

The abstract body must not exceed 250 words
Title, authors, and affiliations are excluded from the word count

Title

Must be written in sentence case
Should clearly define the topic
No abbreviations
Do not use bold, italics, or all capital letters

Language

All abstracts and presentations must be in English

Required Structured Headings

Abstracts must include the following four headings:

1. Introduction and Objectives
2. Methods
3. Results
o Results must be completed, informative, and detailed
o Abstracts with pending or incomplete results will not be accepted
4. Conclusions
 

Submission Policies

Online Submission Only:
Abstracts must be submitted through the official NAUS UROCON Abstract Submission Portal.
Email or hard copy submissions will not be accepted.
Presenting Author:
One author must be designated as the presenting author.
Author Limit:
An individual may serve as the presenting author for a maximum of two accepted abstracts.
Originality:
Submitted work must not have been previously published or presented elsewhere.
Disclosure:
All authors must disclose:
o Conflicts of interest
o Funding sources or financial support
Registration Requirement:
The presenting author must be registered for UROCON 2026 for inclusion in the scientific program.
 

Presentation Types

The final presentation format will be assigned by the Scientific Committee and may include:

Oral / Podium Presentation

Presentation time and the detailed format will be notified after acceptance of the abstract

e-Poster Presentation

Should be submitted as a single-page JPG or PDF
The detailed format will be notified after acceptance

Video Abstract

Must include:
o A written abstract
o A video file in MP4 format
Video may include audio narration or background music
 

Review and Notification

All abstracts will undergo peer review by the Scientific Committee.
Acceptance notifications will be sent in early February 2026.
Decisions of the Scientific Committee are final.
 

Ethical Considerations

Studies involving human participants must have appropriate ethical approval.
Patient confidentiality must be strictly maintained.
Informed consent should be obtained where applicable.

Selected abstracts may be considered for:
