Abstract submission guidelines
Submission Guidelines
- Abstracts can only be submitted through the online abstract submission system available from 15th December 2023 until 15th January 2024.
- Completion of an abstract submission affirms that all listed authors have agreed to its submission for presentation at the UROCON 2024.
- Submission of an abstract constitutes the author’s commitment to present the abstract as accepted. The author/presenter is responsible for any expenses associated with the abstract’s preparation, submission, and presentation. Registration fee waivers and travel grants are not available for abstract presenters.
- Abstract submissions must be written in English. All accepted abstracts must be presented in English.
- All completed abstract submissions will be reviewed by the reviewers from the NAUS led scientific committee.
Submission requirements
Author
- One author must be designated as the presenting author.
- An individual may not serve as the presenting author on more than 2 ( two) abstracts accepted for presentation.
Category
The most appropriate category for the abstract should be selected. The Scientific Committee has the authority to recategorize an abstract.
Abstract Title
The title should clearly define the topic and contain no abbreviations. For professional l consistency, titles must be in sentence case and not bolded, underlined, italicized, or written in all caps or lowercase letters.
Abstract Body
The text is limited to 250 words, not including spaces. The body must be informative and detailed. The following sections are required:
- Introduction and objectives
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusions
Notifications
All communications will be sent to the email address of the presenting author of record. The presenting author is responsible for communicating all notifications with their co-authors.
Duplicate Submissions
Duplicate submissions by the same authors and based on the same study population or data will be rejected.
Accepted Abstracts
The UROCON Scientific Program Committee will determine the format of the presentation (podium or poster) and the committee will inform the presenting author of the format at the time of acceptance notification.
Video Abstract Guidelines
Video abstract submissions must include a written abstract in addition to the video file. Accepted video abstracts will be presented in video sessions at the UROCON 2024.
Video requirements
Video Content
- The opening frames of the video must include the exact title of the abstract and all authors’ names.
- The written and spoken language is English.
- The video must include either audio narration or background music (or a combination of both). Video submissions with no audio element will be rejected.
Technical Requirements

Review
- All videos must be uploaded to the abstract submission site. Email attachments and links to file-sharing sites will not be accepted.
- All video submissions will undergo the same review as applicable for abstract submission.
Guidelines for presentation
- The duration of the presentation in UROCON by each presenter is as follows:
- Guest Lecture : 10 + 2 mins
- Invited Faculty lecture: 8+ 2 mins
- Resident session presentation: 6 mins
